I, like many other students, use facebook. For me, it is a way to keep up with friends from home and to communicate with ones here at school. It is an easy way to keep up with someone that I don't see on an everyday basis and is a surefire way of getting a hold of someone when you can't reach them on their cell phone. I have used it before to get help on homework or to verify an assignment, but nothing too academically extensive. In terms of campus organizations, it is a great way to let people know more about an event and remind them of the time and day of. I enjoy using facebook, but I'm not going to completely rely on it for communicating with all people. Yeah modern technology is great, but talking to a person face to face is so much better than through a computer.
