Hello All

Well hello! My name is Maddy Hazelwood. I am from Baytown,TX which is about forty-five minutes from Houston. Baytown is really small town with not much to do, so most my time was spent outside with my three sisters and friends. Because of that, I have a love for the outdoors. A lot of my younger years were spent playing in the bay which is right down the hill behind my house. If anyone has ever been to Galveston, and seen how dirty the water is, its pretty much like that on Trinity Bay. Nevertheless, we still swam, if wading through water up to your knees can be called swimming, and went fishing off the pier. It was always really fun to go trekking through the sticky mud when the tide went out too. Anything to do with the bay was spectacular.

Sand Volleyball is another one of my favorite things and I also play court volleyball here at Trinity. If anyone wants to play, let me know and I would be glad to join. A few quirky things about myself (that sound somewhat like a dating website) are that I collect broken chips of glass from the bay, am partially obsessed with buying shoes, think that sugar gliders are the cutest and funniest animals alive, and my favorite season is winter. My secret fact is that I love to look at Christmas lights but secretly hate an explosion of colored lights. For some reason, I prefer uniform color or only white but i don't really know why.

Anything concerning computers confuses and frustrates me. I did complete the required computer skills class in high school but considering that three years of typing still didn't have any effect, that one year of skills was a little unsuccessful. Of course I can perform the common functions of using the Internet and Microsoft Word but that's about it. I hope that with this class I will be able to at least know how to use all of the programs in Microsoft Office. One thing I know that won't change is my typing ability. I've pretty much given up on trying to type properly,it's just not my thing.

So that's pretty much me if you have any question you can email me at mhazelwo@trinity.edu and if you would like to see my hometown go to http://www.maps.google.com/.

  2. Very nice post, Maddy - are you related to Aly, by chance?
Believe me, I can relate to what you wrote:

They can, indeed, be frustrating, but they can be helpful as well. Let me know if there's anything special you want to learn.

  3. I completely agree with you! I love white Christmas lights, or those that look a bit blue (like snow kind of). I don't like looking at colored ones either.
